HR
People are the key to ensuring the overall business strategy and aims are realised. Integrating HR strategy with business objectives are critical in achieving this aim. Whether you want to focus on retention, acquisition or upskilling of your people resources the HR strategy is one of the most important elements of strategic planning. It does not matter whether you employee 2 or 2,000 employees, knowing where to go and how to get there is paramount but often overlooked. We can assist in developing and integrating the HR strategy with your business goals.
To quote Alice and the Cheshire Cat from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland:
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough. If you don’t know where you’re going, any road’ll take you there.”
In South African we also need to align strategy with compliance. We have to integrate Employment Equity (EEA) and Skills Development (SDA) legislation as well as Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) targets to ensure we have a workforce fit for the future.
